Topic: "Describe
a truly spiritual moment in your life."
I
honestly have no idea how to answer this question. I've had experiences
that I considered spiritual at the time, but I don't anymore. I think
if we believe in something, we can put emphasis on an event that maybe
isn't actually there. I also think we are much more in tune with
ourselves and have good instincts that we sometimes interpret as
spiritual promptings. I'm not saying I don't necessarily believe in a
god, but I'm not sure I believe he interacts with us in the way many
religions say he does. I know this will come off a little controversial
to some of my friends who blog about spiritual things happening to them
all the time, so I'll just say I don't mean it to be insulting. I'm glad
they find comfort in that kind of thing, I just don't anymore. And I'm
not saying that like "I'm better than you" either, if it sounded
condescending. Blerg...maybe I should just stop while I'm ahead here.
My
sister and her boyfriend and daughter have been here this weekend so
we've been having a nice visit. I really do love my niece to death so
don't take this the wrong way, but being around her always just
reinforces my decision to at least postpone kids, if not rule them out
all together. It's a relief that the bulk of responsibility with her
falls on Rikki. It just reminds me of how much you have to put in with
kids and it exhausts me to see it. She really is the best little girl
though...and so super cute. :)
That's all for now! I'm off to bed.
